Deceptive!

The seller really should have made sure they said this was a book from the 70s. What good does this book do me? NONE! Christ almighty, it was SO irrelevant and instantly became paper for the burn barrel. LABEL BOOKS PROPERLY SELLERS!

I ordered two copies of this used book on Amazon. I found one in the $35 range and one for one cent. I received the one cent book, which included a blank workbook, and it was a very good buy. However, the $35 book, which I sent to my son, only included the workbook, which had been used (answers were written in it). I contacted the seller, asking for the accompanying book, and the seller wrote back that he was selling it for $35 (I don't remember the exact price).

I am quite happy with the purchase I made for one cent, but I am not satisfied with the $30 purchase, and I will probably try to get a refund. The workbook is absolutely of no use without the accompanying grammar book, as one must read the chapter in order to complete the workbook questions. I would think that the seller could have just sent me the grammar book, as a price of around $70 seems exorbitant for a bundle that includes a used workbook.

About the Author
Barbara M. Altman is a sociologist with a PhD from the University of Maryland. Retired from the National Center for Health Statistics, CDC, where she served as Special Assistant on Disability Statistics to the office of the Director, she also worked at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey. Prior to her work in the government, she served as Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Sociology at the University of Maryland. She currently serves as a consultant on disability statistics issues. She played a key role in the organization and development of the work of the Washington Group, an international group working under the auspices of the United Nations, to develop culturally compatible measures of disability for international use and still consults on that activity. Her disability research interests focus primarily on disability definition and measurement, financing and utilization of health care services by persons with disabilities, and disability among minority groups, particularly Native Americans. She is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on disability topics including the recent Disability and Health in the United States Chartbook, and currently is co-editor of the series Research in Social Science and Disability.

About the Author
Daniel Esparza es profesor en la Facultad de Filosof�a de la Universidad de Olomouc. Licenciado en Geograf�a e Historia (UMA), M�ster en Turismo (ULPGC) y Doctor Europeo en Ciencias Pol�ticas (UNED), es sobre todo aficionado al deporte y al arte de montar las olas. Entre sus obras acad�micas se encuentran: La Historia del Surf en M�laga (2014); Identidad nacional y el Otro (2010); Introducci�n a la teor�a literaria (2011); o Identidad nacional y Literatura (2011). Es fundador y director del primer Centro de Investigaci�n de la Historia del Surf y del Bodyboard en Europa: OLO SURF HISTORY. Es editor del �rea de historia, cultura y pol�tica del deporte en la Revista Internacional de Ciencias del Deporte (Ricyde); ha publicado art�culos cient�fico-acad�micos en revistas internacionales sobre identidad, pol�tica, historia y deporte. En 2003 fue seleccionado para el I Curso de Periodismo Internacional de El Pa�s y desde entonces ha colaborado con diversos art�culos de opini�n y reportajes de investigaci�n en diarios espa�oles como El Pa�s o La Provincia; en revistas como CL�O: Revista de Historia, Staf Magazine, 3sesenta o la desaparecida Anarda; o en art�culos especializados en pol�tica internacional en instituciones como el Real Instituto Elcano. En 2012 fue galardonado con la Menci�n Especial por Unanimidad en el III Premio de Periodismo Ciudad de M�laga, por un reportaje de investigaci�n sobre los or�genes del surf en el Mediterr�neo.
