About the Author
Jason Stacy is associate professor of U. S. History and Social Science Pedagogy at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Before joining the history department at SIUe, Stacy taught AP� U.S. History for eight years at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire Illinois. Stacy has served as an AP� U.S. History Reader, Table Leader, Exam Leader, Consultant, Senior Auditor, and question author for the　redesigned AP� U.S. History exam.　

Stacy is the author of Walt Whitman's Multitudes: Labor Reform and Persona in Whitman's Journalism and the First Leaves of Grass, 1840-1855 (2008), editor of Leaves of Grass, 1860: the 150th Anniversary Facsimile Edition (2009) and co-editor of Walt Whitman’s Selected Journalism　(2015). His research has appeared in Social Education, the Walt Whitman Quarterly Review, and American Educational History and his reviews have appeared in American Literature, the Journal of American History, and the Walt Whitman Quarterly Review. Stacy is also a contributing editor for the Walt Whitman Archive. Since 2009, Stacy has served as editor-in-chief of　The Councilor: A Journal of the Social Studies. He is a former president of the Illinois Council for the Social Studies (2014).

Sandi, former elementary school teacher and a veteran of the balloon industry since the early 1990s, was the first female balloon “twister” to put out an instructional video for the balloon industry. Since then, she has gone on to make a LOT of local and national TV appearances (at the time of this writing, 57 and counting), and several hundred “how to” videos on her Sandiballoon YouTube channel. She’s one of the original “deco- twisters”, moving fluently between balloon decorations and balloon twisting, and often combining them together. The instructions are detailed enough for the novice to follow and more advanced balloon twisters will be able to quickly figure most out from just the pictures. There are even companion videos. This book is pretty much idiot proof!

The books starts with basics and quickly progresses. One nice surprise is that there are a few bonus sculptures that are not hats. Some of the bonus balloons are a big sword, a working crossbow, and a butterfly costume.

Bottom line: get this book. Just one or two designs will pay for this book in just a short amount of time. This will be a resource that you will come back to again and again.

WOW.. What a great balloon tutorial!

I have been doing ballooning for several years and thought I didn't need this book on balloon hats but purchased it anyways. I'm soooo glad that I did. Sandy shares so many designs that I never would have thought of.

The best part however, is her awesome teaching style. I am so thankful that each tutorial also comes with an instructional video attached. This makes it so convenient, fast and easy to learn.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes making balloons, is new to balloons and even to seasoned professionals.

A very practical book regarding project governance. It gives a good overview, from the project board perspective, what a project board is all about.
Four principles of effective project governance are described:
- ensure a single point of accountability;
- Service delivery ownership determines project ownership;
- Ensure separation of stakeholder management and project decision-making activities (small is beautiful);
- Ensure separation of project governance and organizational governance structures.
For those readers who are familiar with Prince2, a new role in the project board is introduced besides the executive (owner), senior user and senior supplier: the project director. He reports to the owner and the project manager reports to the project director.

A somewhat disappointing edition due to font size

Because Amazon can sometimes link items in odd ways, let me make it clear that I'm reviewing the Everyman Library edition of The King James Version of The New Testament. I ordered this from Amazon sight unseen based on how happy I have been with every other Everyman edition I've ever bought. Let me make it clear: I love the Everyman Library. Whenever I order a classic work, I always check to see if there is an Everyman edition. Slight aside: there was an earlier Everyman Library that was launched in 1906. This were cheap hardback copies of important works. The size roughly correlates to what we would today call mass market size, though perhaps very slightly larger. These are generally poorly bound books, not very attractive, but frequently valuable because they are often the only readily available editions of certain titles, even if they are out of print. For instance, I recently purchased a very lovely used Everyman edition of Samuel Butler's EREWHON and EREWHON REVISITED. But this older edition lacks the sturdy binding, the acid free cream-colored paper, and appealingly large font of the new Everyman Library, which was restarted in 1991. Basically, if I can get a book in the Everyman edition I will (with certain exceptions -- there are a couple of editions I prefer in the Library of America, such as the large Dashiell Hammett volumes, which if think are nicer than the large Everyman Hammett volumes).

Which explains why I ordered the Everyman edition of the KJV NT. It does have the beautiful paper and the wonderful cloth exterior, but the font is simply not very large. The font is far smaller than what you get with most Everyman editions. Let me give an example. My Everyman PRIDE AND PREJUDICE has substantially larger print. As a result, a relatively short book ends up running to 368 pages, not counting front matter. The KJV NT, which is a much, much longer text, runs to only 421 pages, excluding front matter. I recently decided to reread Trollope's Barsetshire series, and given how beat up and yellowed my old Penguin copies were, I decided to upgrade to the Everyman. DR. THORNE probably has close to the total words found in the NT. But it has the large, lovely font that PRIDE AND PREJUDICE has and as a result runs to a luxuriant 633 pages, again excluding front matter.

My pet peeve with virtually all editions of the Bible, whether containing both halves together or separating them into the OT or the NT as Everyman does, is the size of the font. I often in my daily commute see people reading editions of the Bible that ought to be banned by law. Yes, they are handy-sized and quite tiny, but so is the font. I honestly don't think God wants us to ruin our eyesight by reading the Bible. I got this edition of the KJV with the hopes that it would be both a handy size and that it would have a nice, large font. Unfortunately it did not. It is, however, otherwise very lovely. I'll keep it as a back up copy.

For the record, my favorite reading copy of the KJV remains one of the Cambridge editions. The ISBN number, in case you want to look up this precise edition, is 052116334X. It possesses a very large, easy-to-read font in an otherwise perfectly beautiful Bible. It is, in fact, so beautiful that I had hoped to lessen its use by having another KJV.

a great Christian work

Some would say that the AV1611 is the Only True Word of God. I don't agree with that position, but I do think the KJV Bible is an amazing accomplishment, gathering some of the great minds of 16th century Britain and creating a literary masterpiece that gives great glory to God. If you read other translations for the information, still read this one for its beauty.

About the Author
Randall Horton is the recipient of the Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Award, the Bea Gonzalez Poetry Award and a National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship in Literature. His previous work includes the poetry collection Pitch Dark Anarchy (Triquarterly/Northwestern University Press, 2013). Horton serves on the Board of Directors for Pen America’s Pen Prison Writing Program and teaches at the University of New Haven. He is a Cave Canem Fellow, and a member of both the Affrilachian Poets and the experimental performance group: Heroes are Gang Leaders. Horton is also a senior editor at Willow Brooks, an independent literary press he helped found in 2006. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, he now resides in Harlem, New York.
