Graet Reference for firsr year students

Using this book in teaching at a community college. It has a wealth of material in it, reall toomuch to cover in one year for our students. Still, a great text with loads of info and a worthwhile reference book for tech collage enrollees

Well thought out, robust textbook

Like one of the other reviewers I am taking an online chemistry course through MIT's open courseware. This is the required text. I think it's well laid out and has been through enough revisions that I can't find any obvious errors or omissions. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the course and I've enjoyed it. The course material only encompasses a few chapters of the book and there is much more material if you desire to learn more. This text is also referenced in the thermodynamics class offered by MIT.

This book is working well for us. My son is using it to take an online chemistry course at MIT and it is the require text. I recommend it...:)
